Overview

The USB dongle provides a Bluetooth Host interface for a PC or a Macintosh Computer. The dongle's external antenna allows it to attain the maximum Class 1 Bluetooth range while still remaining FCC compliant.

Windows 2000, XP & Vista Setup

It is recommended that users install the BlueSoeil Windows Software rather than using the drivers built into Windows. We have found the BlueSoeil software to be both easy to use and reliable. Follow these steps to complete the installation
  1. Software Download
    1. Unmarked Dongles: Download the BlueSoeil 5 Installer
    2. Dongles marked as BlueSoleil 6 Compatible: Download the BlueSoeil 6 Installer
  2. Unzip the downloaded file into a temporary directory
  3. Run the setup.exe program from the directory and follow the on screen instructions
  4. Following installation, plug the dongle into a free USB port & start the BlueSolei program

Apple Macintosh Setup

The Macintosh OS X 10.2.8 or higher includes drivers and Bluetooth host support for the dongle. To install the dongle, plug it into a free USB port and reboot your computer. Following reboot, open the Bluetooth Preferences from the System Menu and ensure that Bluetooth is enabled.
